Apple Computers

My Affinity for Apple

Macintosh

I find Mac OS X to be the most productivity enhancing operating environment that I have used. Some of the hardware that Apple makes to go with Mac OS X (perhaps it should be the other way round) is a joy to use, although if you happen to say this in a birthday party, the odds of finding two people who will promptly offer a rebuttal involving one or more of Gigahertz, price, and "I can assemble my own computer" are over 50%.

I had been vaguely interested in Apple for a while, but I acquired my first Apple computer not too long ago, in April 2003 - a PowerBook G4 17". Thereafter I became, shall we say, a little more than vaguely interested in Apple computers. Well, all right: I switched (can't say "from" what, but surely "to" Apple). Note that this only applies to my "primary" computer (the one that one runs one's Universe on): I am very much involved with other systems, both professionaly and otherwise. In any case I am not too fond of the expression "switched".
